Punch the keys

There is an explosion of cameras. What with all the mobile phones having these built in. All around, even if it is shopping malls, theaters, roads anywhere you go you see camera's clicking :) I remember a time when people with camera were much sought after in school or college trips and functions. Now a days its video clips and 5 MB minimum camera with anyone around. Looking for mobiles without camera? Best of luck! There are so few mobiles (other than of course the base models) that come without camera. Look for a phone without cam but with mp3 feature and you know what I am taking of. There was only M600 a year back which was of this category. I don't see any models coming up too. It just is not business sense I guess when people are looking out for mobiles with higher MB camera's. One more reason, to keep your smile on always. Don't know which camera is clicking you.

It has been four years and more since I became a father. Along the way there are so many memories that I thought I would never forget. As we get busy with our daily lives, these memories are shelved somewhere at the back of my mind. It was the next time that I became a parent, and went through a Déjà vu that all those shelved memories come back. I am so thankful to God to having blessed me with my family. I was just going though some of my older photos and realized yet again that time does fly.

It is the month of Ramadan. The holiest month in the islamic calendar. The most prominent act during this month is that muslims around the world fast from the the first call all prayer at the break of day to the fourth prayer at the setting of the sun. Ramadan is overall a month where the believer gets closer to the almightly through acts of charity, reading quran, prayer and overall focusing on bringing a better spiritual quality to ones life. Well all these can also be done in all the other months, but these acts are intensified during the holy month. It is said that the doors of hell are closed during the month of Ramadan. Was King Khan detained on purpose? Was it a regular screening or a "regular" screening? Well as far as names go it is common knowledge that names similar to that of wanted men are screened more rigorously that others. Having a muslim name does not help in this context because I guess about half the names on the US wanted list. if not more, would be from mid-east or other muslim countries. Anyways, the topic I had in mind was the detaining of SRK and not names. So let me try and stick to the topic :) The first time I heard or read of this news was here - SRK detained . The article itself was quite judgmental. I myself was not sure if this was a publicity stunt for his upcoming movie, My name is Khan. Or real. So much for faith in actors :) I was really annoyed when I had read about the screening of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam . What is the difference between the two cases? The entire day today, I was experimenting with some of the themes that I found on the internet. I liked the WordPress sites and their look and feel, so thought I would try to get some theme like the ones on the WordPress blogs. I was even tempted to move over to the WordPress site because of the themes, then decided not to. Nothing against WordPress, (quite the contrary judging by the time I spent on the site) but I just wanted to stick to blogger. There's an old saying about a man and his blaming the tools when things didn't weren't working out. So thought that I would work on my blogging/writing "skills" and see where it goes before making an "informed" choice on the site. ;) Incidentally, there are sites that specialize in converting the WordPress themes to blogger compatible and vice versa. Well well. there is no linux version for Google Chrome! So much for the Windows killer comments!!! These are some of the things that I find pretty Hypocritical, if i may use this term. On a related note: All through the internet forums or blogs you can find people bashing up Microsoft and Redmond. Tearing them apart for the alleged or otherwise (mal)practices. However, none of them make even a whimper when other groups do the same tactics that Redmond once did or continues to do. I don't agree to some of what Microsoft is doing, but lets give credit where credit is due and slime where slime is due. Lets not hold back just coz its not our favorite punching bag.
